徐舒，退休後是北京市海淀醫院安寧療護病房的志願者，她用安寧的理念，照護患有吸入性肺炎的94歲父親，送他在放鬆自在的狀態下善終。安寧療護，是為生命末期的患者和其家屬提供身體、心理、精神等方面的照料，最大限度降低患者和這個家庭的痛苦。它的原則比如有：緩解疼痛和其他痛苦症狀，不再以治療疾病為焦點；既不加速也不延緩死亡，接受死亡是一個自然過程……
