赤陶大峡谷

每次看到美国大峡谷的照片和影像，都被它的壮丽震撼。它叠层的赤陶色，使我瞬间想起第一次看《星球大战》第一集开始的画面：机器人 C-3PO行走在荒漠了，R2-D2 滴滴嘟嘟地小心前行...

      

 

      赤陶大峡谷

用太阳的寒暑去侵袭它的内体，

用柔风细雨去松弛它的裸肌，

用人类无法忍耐的时间去消磨它的毅力,

上苍挥动着无形的锤斧，

雕琢着大地广袤的钢筋铁骨。

 

堆积着，把力量堆积到万仞之巅，

风不再轻拂，带来电闪雷鸣，大雨磅礴，

水不再柔弱，涌起洪水，卷起滚石，

波澜壮阔地奔腾啊， 咆哮啊，

无可阻拦地想横扫一切！

 

留下的是赤陶如火的千沟万壑，

上苍与大地无数次征战后鸣金的沙场，

随处是英雄丰碑，壮士躯形，高擎铁臂。

以地为形的湖水，似血似泪，

映下今日苍天万顷如缎的碧蓝。

 

人类在徒手对付自然时，

心诚口服地把它顶礼膜拜，

在获得了移山的力量后，把山雕形伟人
敬请上苍收敛它加速的侵蚀，

以求给子孙万世留下和美的空间。

The Flaming Terra-Cotta Great Canyon

Invading its interior in cold and heat,
Slacking its naked exterior with breeze and drizzles,
Wearing down its stamina by time unendurable by Man,
The heaven wields an invisible hammer and axe,
To shape the earth's enormous granite and marble surface.

Accumulating the force, up to acme,
Wind, no longer kissing, brought in thunderstorm and tempest,
Water, no more limp, upsurged into a deluge, rolling rocks,
Vast waves galloped and raved, 
Irresistibly to sweep anything away!   

Numerous flaming terra-cotta gullies and ravines left,
Like a ceasefire battlefield where heaps of times the heaven has engaged,
Resemble hero's monuments, martyr's figures, and upheld fists.
Water in the lake of concave line appears as blood and tears
And as the damask of today's sky azure in myriad of miles.

The human, when exposed to nature by bare hands,
Prostrated himself to worship heartfully its power;
But reshaped peaks in giants' busts after acquiring extreme tools
To request the heaven to back off its stepped-up erosions
In order to leave his offspring this place at peace.
