I got the rejection letter for my very first job interview today

Today is June 28th, 2007. I received my very first rejection letter in my career from the company, which is also the first one who gave me an on-site interview oppournity in my job-searching history. To be honest, I knew I lost the chance immediately after the interview ended. I didn't present a good presentation. I behaved nervously and hastily. And most important, I even didn't show the audience that I knew my project very well, especially the theory background. I couldn't answer clearly their questions related to my structure model. It's very obvious that I won't get the position. However, I still hoped that they couldn't find better candidate than me so that I might still have a chance. Now it turned out I was wrong. Failure came at the very first beginning. No excuses. No chance.

What lessons do I learn from it?
1. Oppournity can only be caught by those who are already ready.
2. Procrastination is the worst excuse and habit.
(If only I had started to prepare once I sent out the resume, other than after I got the phone call to schedule the interview. It would give me 3 more weeks to prepare.)

What do I have to do from now on?
1. Face my duty: work hard to write my dissertation and to find a job.
2. Practice and improve my English, both writing and speaking.
3. Do things earlier than the deadline. No longer procrastinate. Never be late.
