　　乡下的周全来到大城市里投奔大哥周奉，周奉与妻子杨娟的日子过得本来就不是那么宽松。于是决定将弟弟周全送回乡下。此时恬逢周奉公司里的新任总裁提携，让周奉从一个小小的职员升到总裁助理，这对他来讲简直就是“平步青云”。正因如此，使得周全以为哥哥对他说了假话。于是他决定瞞着哥哥留下来，并要在城里混出个样儿来……
　　周奉走马上任后，如履薄冰。天天面对着总裁的考验。所幸妻子杨娟、小姨子杨菊和侄女彤彤的“倾情支持”，三个“臭皮匠”组成了大后方的智囊团。事业有所成就的周奉，一咬牙，买下一间垂涎已久价值百万的豪宅。可惜好景不长，周奉被繁重的工作压力逼得喘不过气来，更有“心怀不轨，蓄谋已久”的同事高遥在他身后捅软刀子。终于，周奉倒下来了，他失业了，真的失业了……
　　弟弟周全，自己开了一家旧货公司，而且生意一天天红火起来。周奉看着弟弟一步步走出了自己的天地，于是他决定背水一战，开起了一家小小的装修公司。然而，不懂得经商的他会走向何方？被生活剥得一丝不挂的他，还能撑得起这个家吗？
