An optimist or a pessimist?

What I believe to be the hidden core of my life will not easily be deciphered

Recently, I had some rough time : time and again, I questioned myself and God when could I speak impeccable English; when and where could I find my prince charming instead of kissing these frogs?.....

Everything's not quite ice cream and teddy bear for me, but I do tend to look on the bright side of life. Sure,  sometimes I  complain and moan about my problems (who doesn't?), but deep down I am pretty sure that everything will eventually turn out fine. When the forecast says it's going to be sunny, so I leave my cute umbrella at home. I can't help but be amazed by all the wonders of the world, from the way things work to how my friends relate to one another.In general, I like to be around people, and I try to make new friends when I can. I do my best to take things at face value, rather than making mountains out of molehills.

Basically, the world is sort of like a big coconut to me : tough and hairy on the outside, but, when you get down into it, there's good stuff inside.
Am I an optimist or a pessimist?

hehe... you actually sound like a boy not a girl. I have never met a girl like you. I am the kind of person who likes to challange but with care. Especially now, because I can not afford to lose anymore.

Honey, you got it . I am not pessimist but realist. Indeed, I am kind of optimist and I love challenges which will lead to overcome my limit and open entirely new world. However, it won't be an easy journey to walk through these ups and downs and when I am down, I sound like a pessimist:-)

Good comment. But I think she is a not a pessimist. She knows lots of thing look tough, but eventually they will turn out to be good. "tough and hairy on the outside, but, when you get down into it, there's good stuff inside."

The world is a ball rather than a coconut. You could have it entirely without that much difficulties.

However, if you are careless, it could slip off your hands sneakily. Indeed, the ball was in your court.

You look at the world as a coconut, it tells me you've been pessismistic. Honey, we all struggled and are struggling. I echo your sentiments. What we could do is "take one step at one time", you can't eat an elephant in one day.
