The Sun and The Moon ( 9 years old)---Story

        In the beginning of time, the earth and heaven were married, giving birth to a son and a daughter. They named the boy sun, and the daughter moon. The two siblings quarreled so much that they sat on each side of their mother, the earth.

       The moon was jealous of her brother because he was granted so much power and to her so little. So the heavens made them compromise by letting the sun and moon each stay at a side of the earth during a period of time and then slowly switch to the other side. The moon reflects her brother‘s light so she is not jealous any more.

      But her brother is mad that some power that was his has been taken away. All this happened during the summer, which is why in the summer, the sun boils with anger at his sister, therefore making it incredibly hot. In the wintertime, he subsides his anger and the moon takes over, letting snow fall in blizzards or softly. 

     That is the tale of the sun and the moon.
