Norway and Sweden (6) - The Pulpit Rock

(2013-09-11 20:07:06) 下一个

If there is one reason I want to go to Norway, it is to hike the Pulpit Rock. From Stavanger, we took the ferry to Tau (46 NOK, one way, and they had free Wi-Fi). Two buses were waiting at Tau ferry terminal when the ferry arrived. One of them was for the Pulpit Rock (marked clearly in English). We bought round trip bus tickets (140 NOK). Big mistake. Because there were 2 companies doing this route. Neither had a frequent schedule at Pulpit Rock trailhead (1 - 1.5 hours a bus). Now that we bought round trip bus tickets with one company, we had to wait for their bus at Pulpit Rock trailhead to come back to Tau ferry terminal later. If we bought one way ticket, we could just get on either company's bus. It may cost a little more, but it would give us more flexibility.
