买东西之前要做详细的调查，特别是电子产品，才能避免不必要的烦恼。

今天在当地的华人网站看到一个卖有线调制解调器的，广告列着型号：Cisco Linksys BEFCMU10， 最新版本： Latest VER.4 (Comcast).  要价＄１５。

注意卖家专门用括号写了有线服务商 COMCAST，这也是吸引我的原因。我家就是用的这个有线服务商的上网服务。虽

然我已经有了摩托罗拉的有线调制解调器，但再买个备用的也挺好，以免自己的那个坏了的时候抓瞎。

当然，买东西之前要做详细的调查，特别是电子产品，才能避免不必要的烦恼。于是到AMAZON去做调研。用那个型号

搜寻的结果显示新货卖＄８９。也就是说＄１５的价格还算不错。

接下来看消费者点评，褒贬不一，这很正常。不过有一点引起了我的注意:

头页的点评，一个是2002年的，另外两个是2005年的。怎么会这样？最近买了的人看法如何呢？于是我就进到所有点

评，然后重新索引，让最新的点评列在第一位。这一下看到了一个关键点评，让我决定放弃！

My BEFCMU10 modem was working just fine until 4 days ago. I called Comcast and he said my Modem was faulty. I gave the modem for my friend to test and he said it would not work on his computer either. Well, I ordered another of the same model and when it arrived yesterday, it would not get recognized or be allowed to activate for online access. I called Comcast again, and they basically said the modem was giving out no signal. Finally, after going in circles with 4 different customer service reps, I finally found someone who answered my question. I was told that this Model is end of Life cycle in Comcast. Comcast actually stopped supporting my modem and killed my service without any notice. Basically my modem was fine and Comcast just decided to kill my connection and leave me without service. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL IF YOU ARE USING COMCAST! If you Own this modem, be warned if it suddenly stops working. It is not your modem. Comcast is dropping support and doesn't care if your out of service until you get a newer modem..

简而言之，根据这位点评者，该有线调制解调器在一个多月以前刚被COMCAST取消了支持，也就是说它不能再用于

COMCAST上网了！

不能把人往坏里想，也许卖主并不知情，别人发现不能用了就送给他／她，而他／她想闲置也没用，不如卖＄１５贴补家用。

总之，那个点评省去了我不必要的麻烦，否则我买回来，要走同样的弯路，最后发现不能用。

不能总做别人点评的受益者，我于是立刻写了这篇文章，提醒大家注意。并且在那个卖方的广告下边，加了个跟贴，把上

边的点评登上去，让所有对该有线调制解调器感兴趣的潜在买主, 在买它之前都能有足够的信息来做决定。
