2009年，小雨有幸现场聆听到Jean-Yves Thibaudet的一场钢琴演出，他演奏了柏辽兹的“海盗”序曲，李斯特的第二钢琴协奏曲，肖斯塔科维奇的Suite from Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District。演出结束后，有一个与剧场里所有听众见面的采访。他身材高大，随和，和蔼，幽默。他告诉听众，他自己弹的钢琴是在德国本土制造的Steinway & Sons，在德国本土制造的和在美国制造的Steinway & Sons，在音色上有分别。。。他很认真地回答了小听众们提出的几个关于怎样练习钢琴的问题。。。
