I read four articles about Entertainment and sports in Bucks County Herald May 29, 2025,Barbara gave me the newspaper.
1) (A) Lambertville Memorial Day Parade, ceremony honors veterans
Lambertville held its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday.
The Parade proceeded south on Union Street to Mount Hope Street, then north on Main Street to York Street, before concluding at Mary Sheridan Park where a commemorative ceremony was held to honor those who have served.
(B) I think: Chinese soldiers are not loved by the people. This is because the Chinese army is the Communist Party's army, and it opened fire on the people during the 1989-64 incident.

2) (A) Town and Country Players brings wit and wonder to the stage with “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”
“Picasso” will run from May 30 through June. Set in a bohemian bar in Paris at the dawn of the 20th century, “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” is a clever and absurdly funny exploration of art, science, and genius. The play imagines a fictional meeting between a young Pablo Picasso (Kevin Palardy) and a young Albert Einstein (Evan Creedon), just before they change the world with their groundbreaking ideas.
Kevin Palardy said, “Audiences will love the fact that there’s never a dull moment in this show.” With Martin’s signature humor and a cast of quirky characters, the play examines what it means to see the world differently. “It’s just been so genuinely fun transferring Steve Martin’s snappy dialogue from the page to the stage that I’d find myself eagerly awaiting the next rehearsal!”
(B) I think: I can’t understand the assumption of Einstein's theory of relativity ,the constant speed of light, is correct. I also don't see any innovation in Picasso's work painting ‘Les Demoiselles d'Avignon’. I'm not interested in the fake meeting and discussion between the two of them.

3) (A) North Penn nips Council Rock South in district semifinal
To no one’s surprise, there was still no score through six innings in Tuesday’s District One 6A semifinal.
Elite softball teams usually get to elite status with pitching. Tuesday’s tilt at No. 2 Council Rock South (19-4) and No. 11 North Penn – a rematch of last year’s 1-0 state final game – was no exception.
CR South ace Lexi Waring entered the game having allowed one earned run in 17 district innings. Gettysburg-bound Waring struck out 18 in those 17 frames.
North Penn’s Felicia Connolly, a Villanova signee, had allowed one earned run in 19 district innings. Connolly fanned 33 in her first three district games.
With one out in the top of seventh, North Penn shortstop Alanna Drummond lofted a solo home run to right center. The final stayed 1-0. It was the second straight playoff game with a Drummond homer.
(B) I think:Baseball and softball are not popular in China.

4) (A) A special night to honor Bucks County’s best and brightest scholar-athletes

Only the best of the best need apply. That was the case on Wednesday night when 34 of Bucks County’s top college-bound high school seniors gathered at the Spring Mill Country Club for the 25th annual Kiwanis Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet.
If nothing else, each of the award recipients was inspired by watching their brethren receive a check for $1,000 from the Dick Dougherty Honorarium Awards program.
As each student’s accomplishments came over the microphone, there were smiles all around among the crowd of approximately 170 onlookers.
“What a wonderful night,” said Levittown-Bristol Kiwanis Club’s Dixie Rhodes. “Over 170 people sloshed through the rain to honor some of our stop scholar-athletes. The banquet room was alive with conversation and laughter.”
Some of the upcoming destinations for these high achievers include the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and Villanova University in the Philadelphia area.
“I am so proud of our Kiwanis Club for the hard work they put in this endeavor,” said Rhodes. “It was well worth it. I was humbled by all the accomplishments of these young scholars. They will shine in their roles as our future leaders.”
(B) I think: I don’t know there were sports scholarships in China.
