锦帏初卷卫夫人，绣被犹堆越鄂君。
垂手乱翻雕玉佩，招腰争舞郁金裙。
石家蜡烛何曾剪，荀令香炉可待熏。
我是梦中传彩笔，欲书花叶寄朝云。

Lo, unfurling brocade drapes reveal Lady Wei,
O, like Lord E, concealed in embroidered array.
As dainty fingers lightly flick carved jade pendants,
As slender dancing waists in gilt skirts whirl and sway.
the candles of noble Shi ne’er need to be trimmed,
Why need lord Xun’s censers? fragrance lingers alway.
A dream bestows upon me Jiang Yan’s magic brush
To inscribe upon petals for the fabled Fay.
