《立秋》 – 孟朝崗

 

秋期已至暑无休，且罢垂钩泛小舟。

沿岸垂杨丝欲暗，浮池菡萏角犹稠。

 

Start of Autumn

O autumn is come, summer yields not,

I row a skiff, let rest my hook and pot.

Though willows on both banks begin to dim,  

The pool, thick with lotus, remains a spot.
