浣花溪上见卿卿，眼波明，黛眉轻。

绿云高绾，金簇小蜻蜓。

好是问他来得么？和笑道：莫多情。

By Huanhua Stream, I espy a belle so dainty,
Her limpid eyne so lustrous, so lively,
O, her arch brows so pretty;
Her cloud-dark tresses, wound up so high,
With a gold dragonfly, though tiny, so fancy!
I’d fain ask: “May we tryst, dearie...?”
Yet she’d smile: “O, besotted not, prithee!”
