浪淘沙九首（其七）- 劉禹錫

 

八月涛声吼地来，头高数丈触山回。

须臾却入海门去，卷起沙堆似雪堆。

 

A Quatrain by Liu Yu-xi

 

Aloud, abundant, August rolling billows roar,

Apace, a-towering, they clash on cliffs ashore.

Anon, sprays shattered, swirling back unto the sea,

A-stacking, they raise snow-like mounds of sand galore.
