莫怨春归早，花余几点红。
留将根蒂在，岁岁有东风。

 

Late Spring by Weng Ge (Qing Dynasty)

 

Oh, why so soon doth spring retire?

Lo, only some red petals sway.

So long as the roots don’t expire,

East breeze, each year, blows sans delay.
