《元日》 (宋) 辛弃疾

 

老病忘时节，空斋晓尚眠。

儿童唤翁起，今日是新年。

 

New Year’s Day by Xin Qiji (Soong Dynasty)

 

So old, so ill, I've lost track of time’s flow ,

Alone, abed in my room past th’ first ray.

The noisy kids, waking me, come and go,

Laughing out loud, “Today is New Year’s Day.”
