心灵之眼被照亮 - 以弗所书读经随笔 第1 章

以弗所书第一章第15-23节，保罗自从听说关于以弗所的弟兄姐妹们在耶稣基督里的信心和对众圣徒的爱心之后，就一直保持在他的祷告里为大家感谢神。保罗说他一直在祈求神将那智慧和启示之灵赏赐给大家，这样使大家能够更好地知道神。保罗说他也祷告祈求，希望弟兄姐妹们心灵的眼睛能够被照亮，这样弟兄姐妹们就能知道神召我们进天国的希望是什么，就能知道他荣耀的基业在圣徒中是何等的丰盛；并且，就能知道他向我们这信的人所显的能力是何等的浩大。神曾用大能使耶稣从死里复活，叫他在天上坐在自己的右边，叫他不单在今世，也在来世位于一切统治和权威之上；神将万有置于耶稣基督的脚下；神使他作为教会里一切事情的元首，教会是他的身体。

弗1:15 因此，我既听见你们信从主耶稣，亲爱众圣徒，
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 
弗1:16 就为你们不住地感谢神，祷告的时候，常提到你们。
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 
弗1:17 求我们主耶稣基督的神，荣耀的父，将那赐人智慧和启示的灵，赏给你们，使你们真知道他。
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 
弗1:18 并且照明你们心中的眼睛，使你们知道他的恩召有何等指望。他在圣徒中得的基业，有何等丰盛的荣耀。
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 
弗1:19 并知道他向我们这信的人所显的能力，是何等浩大，
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
弗1:20 就是照他在基督身上，所运行的大能大力，使他从死里复活，叫他在天上坐在自己的右边，
he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 
弗1:21 远超过一切执政的，掌权的，有能的，主治的，和一切有名的。不但是今世的，连来世的也都超过了。
far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 
弗1:22 又将万有服在他的脚下，使他为教会作万有之首。
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 
弗1:23 教会是他的身体，是那充满万有者所充满的。
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
