Why didn't Tiananmen protest bring China the change as USSR

(2025-06-03 06:08:57) 下一个

Q: Why did the protests at Tiananmen Square not bring the same change to China that occurred in Eastern Europe?

A:

This is caused by the immunity effect of the Cultural Revolution. The Cultural Revolution was originally a democratic movement, but later evolved into mob rule. The ten years of mob rule were more serious than all the color revolutions combined, including the Tiananmen Incident.

The Tiananmen Square protests were sparked by the death of former Communist Party General Secretary Hu Yaobang, who was famous for redressing injustices during the Cultural Revolution. The most important lesson the Chinese have learned from mob rule is that the country needs the rule of law. Color revolutions, including the Tiananmen Square protests, are designed to undermine government authority and deviate from the rule of law. Instead of seeking solutions within the system, the protesters repeatedly violated government regulations and orders.

No Chinese wants to repeat the mistakes of mob rule during the Cultural Revolution. In fact, it was because of Hu Yaobang that the Chinese people developed sympathy for the CPC cadres who suffered mob rule during the Cultural Revolution. How could a Tiananmen protest overthrow a government composed of tortured and newly liberated cadres? The Cultural Revolution attacked the capitalist roaders, Liu, Deng and Tao. Deng Xiaoping was greatly affected by the Cultural Revolution. After the Cultural Revolution fell and rose three times, would he fall for the fourth time because of the Tiananmen protest?

When the Soviet Union collapsed, the people of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe had no sympathy for the Communist Party cadres who had been enjoying excessive privileges.

The Cultural Revolution was a color revolution by the CPC to mobilize the Chinese people against the CPC itself, and it lasted for ten years. The two-month riot in Tiananmen Square was a drop in the bucket compared to the ten years of mobilizing the Chinese people against the CCP during the Cultural Revolution. If the CPC could survive the Cultural Revolution and launch a satellite during it, it can surely survive any color revolution.

Mao knew that the Communist Party could not survive if its members enjoyed more privileges than ordinary people. He sent party cadres to the countryside to live, eat, and work with the poor and lower-middle peasants, as did other national elites. By the time of Tiananmen, the Chinese people had already deeply identified with the country and the Communist Party.

The Cultural Revolution was the most democratic period in the world. The people exercised self-government for ten years in anarchy, smashing the public security, procuratorial, and judicial organs, and establishing revolutionary committees. The democracy pursued by the protesters in Tiananmen Square is far inferior to the democracy during the Cultural Revolution.

Why is Xi Jinping so popular in China? He went to the countryside during the Cultural Revolution and lived with the lower classes of society, sharing the same living standards as the lower classes, with no property and no privileges. Which other democratic leaders have done this? Which leaders in human history have done this? Only the Communist Party took the initiative to do this after it came to power and ruled the country! This is of great significance in human history.
