小说《爱丽丝漫游仙境》里爱丽丝与柴郡猫的一段对话：

“我该走那条路？”
“你要去哪里？”
“我不知道。”
“那就无所谓了，如果你不知道去哪儿，哪条路都行的通。”

英文原版：

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don't much care where...”said Alice.
“Then it doesn't matter which way you go,”said the Cat.
