For the last couple of years I’ve been updating my Costco Grocery Price List which features about 150 natural and organic food items. I don’t buy all of the groceries on the list by any means. I share commonly purchased grocery items and try to feature some different organic products. I know everyone can’t make everything from scratch, so when crunch time calls, it’s nice to have a few convenient food items. So here are the groceries that I get at Costco (subject to change due to price changes-but it’s pretty consistent).

  • Organic Chicken Drumsticks-at $1.99/lb., you can’t beat them, and then I use the chicken bones to make a perpetual practically free organic broth with food scraps
  • Avocado Oil (non-GMO)
  • Organic Coconut Oil
  • Organic Olive Oil
  • Organic Canned Black Beans
  • Sprouted Organic Bread
  • Organic Chia Seeds
  • Kirkland Signature Orange Juice (it isn’t organic in our city, but the next city South in Everett they have it organic)
  • Almonds
  • Walnuts (I watch WinCo prices because they have oscillated back and forth)
  • Pecans  (I also watch WinCo prices here because they have oscillated back and forth, too)
  • Organic Coffee
  • Organic Corn Chips
  • Mixed Nuts
  • Organic Carrots
  • Organic Spinach
  • Organic Power Greens
  • Organic Bananas
  • Organic Salsa when I run out of my homemade salsa
  • Organic Frozen Fruits like strawberries (when they have them), blueberries, mixed berries, cherries, mango for smoothies
  • Organic Frozen Corn
  • Honey when I don’t have local honey
  • Organic Evaporated Cane Juice (sugar)
  • Organic Apples
  • Baking Soda
  • Black Olives
  • Organic Raisins
  • Organic Rice
  • KS Organic Tomato Paste and Organic Diced Tomatoes
  • Fresh Peeled Heirloom Garlic Cloves

I don’t ever buy paper goods or disposable products.  I don’t get my toilet paper there because I get it cheaper with a coupon at Fred Meyer or Bartells. Prices of eggs oscillates, so it really depends on sales. We consistently get organic whole milk at Fred Meyer or WinCo. Grocery items like tomatoes, pineapples, oranges, celery, onions, and other produce items are often cheaper at a standard grocery story like Fred Meyer, WinCo or Trader Joe’s. The most important thing in saving money on groceries is to know your prices. Anyone have anything different on your list?
