 Hayley Westenra ，1987年4.10出生于纽西兰基督城的一个歌唱世家。天赋清亮无瑕的绝美嗓音，又得到了高人歌剧首席女主角的欣赏和指导。

她的MTV,我最喜欢看的是live音乐会演出。一个清纯如水的女子，踏着缥缈的天籁之音款款走来。圣洁宁静。
此女只应天上有，送歌下凡到人间。

她的柔姿，她的声音，似乎在引导你，跟随她前往一个超越人间烦恼心平气和的去处。

2003, 15岁那年她的首张专辑- 《PURE》由DECCA公司向全球推荐，天使般纯净的嗓音透明如水，吸引了全球乐迷，Hayley 一跃成为国际歌星。 

2005年8月第二张专辑《Odyssey》问世。18岁的Hayley 演唱比以前更丰满和圆润。主题曲”Amazing Grace”席卷亚洲，

2008，Hayley Westenra的第三张专辑《Treasure》发行。这张专辑很个人化，收录了一些古典金曲和爱尔兰、毛利族民歌。这也是她第一次专辑里包含她自己原创的曲目“Let Me Lie”与“Summer Rain”

Westenra was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and is of Dutch[3] and Irish[4] heritage. Her parents, Jill and Gerald Westenra, have two other children, Sophie and Isaac Westenra. The family has a history of music: Westenra's grandmother Shirley Ireland was a singer, and her grandfather was a pianist who also played the piano accordion.[5]

有两点商榷：

Hayley没有出声于音乐世家，她的爸爸妈妈都是普通人，既不唱歌，也不跳舞。但很小的时候家里就支持她和她妹妹去街上Busking。

世界著名的新西兰高音女歌唱家Kiri Te Kanawa曾经拒绝和她同台演唱，因为Hayley的演唱是伪Classical。
