Be a rich and adorable man

My dear boy, you are 19, and I want to discuss about what you are going to be. Many people say that normal life is the best because you don’t have to worry. It is not true, my son. How could a man be happy if he has to worry about food and shelter constantly, or he feels guilty because he could not afford his children for the best education, or he has to struggle to do a job he does not like, or he could not leave the job even though he feels he is getting weaker everyday because he needs that money? People say that they are happy to live this way only because they do not want to admit that they have no guts to take risk so that they fail to catch the opportunities, or they do not want to see the lazy parts in them which keep them to live the way they have built up already, or they simply cannot find any methods to make them rich. I hope you can see these weaknesses in people deeply so that you do not have to be one of them. I am constantly proud of you because you were so outstanding that you can be even so top in your Ivy League college. However, you should know that not all of the grads from Ivy Leagues make successful career later on. Obviously, all of you are smart, diligent, and all of you have some opportunities. Why do some become so successful in different fields, but others do not? The differences are attributed to the way they think, and the goal they set. I know you are struggling to set up your career now since it is hard to give up something you are still interested in. I admire you that you are able to nose into so many fields at the same time, but you must realize that a person’s energy is limited no matter how smart you are. You have to just give up something and start to narrow your fields and focus on them since you are getting into your Junior year. The small business you set up is really nice, and it is a good try, but I hope you do not confuse yourself by the small profit while you still need to fill up your brain with more knowledge from your books. The knowledge you are learning now will be your asset in the future. Of course, you do not have to follow the things on books. You can certainly make your own judgement later on; however, the knowledge from school can expand your insights and make you an adorable person all your life. 
Perhaps you may not come back home this Christmas. Next year, when I see you, I hope you can tell me the field or fields you choose.
