Dear Mr. Woo,

I’m sorry you felt that a call with our producer to personally apologize would have been insufficient. However, to repeat, we’re writing again to offer our sincere apology. We would never purposefully broadcast anything to upset the Chinese community, Asian community, anyone of Chinese decent or any community at large. Our objective is to entertain.

As you know we’ve taken swift action to minimize the distribution of the skit by removing it from all platforms and editing it out of any future airings of the show. We appreciate your insight and your understanding.

Again, we hope our actions and our apology effectively address your concerns.

做为一个公司的书面道歉，这个程度大概是ABC法律顾问所能够允许的最大尺度了。道歉比这个再详细，再深刻，就有被认为是认罪的成分了。如果那样，再有好事者跟ABC打莫名其妙的官司，ABC在法庭上就很被动。
华人抓住这件事情不放也是可以的，毕竟整个美国社会并没有体现出为借债负责的道义感，也没有体现出对华人的种族平等。ABC的人完全有可能觉得美国华人无中生有，为中国的华人和全世界买美债的人打抱不平。美国整个社会就是有钱借就借，还不上了就宣布破产。这时居然有低劣种族的人不允许美国人欠债不还，还搞的美国人生活如此不方便，美国人的愤怒可想而知。所以有华人要把这件事情闹得更大，不是绝对没有道理。只是要ABC公司层面给出更深刻的道歉，ABC的千千万万股东就不会答应了。
冰冻三尺，非一日之寒，这件事情出自六岁小孩之口，恰恰反应了美国社会根深蒂固的有便宜就占的心理和种族偏见。那么解冻也非一日之功，要靠广大华人社区长期对各种不利事例的抗议，对各个有利活动的参与。
我本人倾向于就此了结这件六岁孩子引起的事情，以后找一些有益于全美国的事情发挥出华人的正能量，再发现歧视华人群体的事情发出华人抗议的声音。不求自己爽快，但求华人能在美国社会兴旺。
