Placed at the foot of a tree in the playground in the center of a densely populated neighborhood, a pair of womens shoes, a pair of slippers, and some clothes that no one will ever wear again were neatly arranged.

Firefighters were busy extinguishing more clothes, shaking off the dust and debris from which the two bodies had just emerged. Doctors and nurses frantically took turns in a relay race with death, administering artificial respiration to children and the elderly who had lost consciousness. Local authorities had already cleared a corridor through the traffic, allowing ambulances and fire tanker trucks to pass unhindered.

Just when the fire seemed to have been somewhat contained, the anti-aircraft sirens started wailing again.A second Russian attack was imminent, and a double tap was likely. Instead of striking the exact location again to cause more casualties among rescuers as they often do, the Russians directed additional strikes at the train station and then again at the civilian energy infrastructure of Kamianske. Aside from a few mumbled instructions from the officers, locating them was as simple as following the thick plumes of black smoke rising above the town, making the air unbreathable. With pinpoint accuracy, Russian engineers had set the coordinates to strike again at the heart of Kamianske, igniting multiple internal combustion generators.

I wont specify whether the Russians fully hit their intended target because, in cases like this, one word or image could lead to a second attack to finish the job or a different one, considering the first one complete. However, I can say with certainty thatan engineer other than the death-dealers who designed them would be able to recognize the Chinese manufacturing of the components in the Russian Geran drones. I filmed those details thoroughly, thanks also to the support of the authorities and volunteers guarding the ruins of the Kamianske train station.

The H4 engine at the heart of those killing machines is identical to the one sold by Chinese vendors on their marketplaces. One even still had an iron wire hanging from it, tightly tied in the same exact place where multiple Chinese companies selling online display the specification labels of those flat-fours. Serial numbers engraved similarly, alloy castings made in molds that leave burrs identical to those on engines sold in Yuan, signs of low-cost milling and turning on crankcases and flanges, thin and uneven coatings of anodizing and paint like those often seen on Chinese online marketplace apps, laser markings etched with dense alphanumeric characters and fonts typical of Beijing industry, bolts with mixed tolerances or completely off-scale compared to standard measurements, rougher grain patterns on the crankshaft and con rods, or even bubble patterns in the gaskets are just a fewmechanical features indicative of poor metallurgical control during production. Just holding a single head of those four horizontally opposed cylinders, one can notice that it has fewer and thicker fins than Western models.

Upon observing the electrical components, one immediately notices blurry silkscreens, imitation connectors made of rigid plastic, contacts that are only tinned, two-layer printed circuit boards (rather than four-layer), lacking the protective coating typically found in European or Japanese products, and a poorly translated technical English.
Having a pair of those unexploded UAVs in essentially intact condition has provided answers to all the questions that Russian and Chinese authorities evade with vague and confusing statements.
Unacceptable, after so many years of terror.
