荷叶五寸荷花娇，贴波不碍画船摇。
相到薰风四五月，也能遮却美人腰。

Upon five-inch-leaves, lotus blooms stand mute,

Adorned boats on ripples, they both salute.

When April or May’s tropic breeze rises,

Lotus can still shield maid’s waist, slim and cute.

五寸的荷叶托着娇艳的荷花，荷叶密密的贴在水面，但这并不妨碍彩舟的荡漾。
直到四五月间夏风微微吹拂，这些荷叶荷花的高度依旧能恰巧把美人的腰遮住。
