果阿邦是印度面积最小的一个邦，位于印度西岸，这里每年吸引数十万国内外观光客前往游览，是印度最富裕的一个邦。近日有印度媒体称，总部位于中国青岛的建筑公司已获批准在果阿邦修建长17.4公里的四车道公路项目。为了该项目，中国公司已与海得拉巴公司成立了合资企业。
果阿邦的公共交通主要是私营公交线路，连接了主要城市和乡村。但总体来说，果阿邦的公共交通并不发达，这导致当地人更多的还是使用个人交通工具，可果阿邦境内只有两条国家高速公路，这让当地人很是不满，一直希望能多建设几条公路方便出行。

当地人盼星星盼月亮的公路终于来时，可看到的却是由中国公司来建设，顿时让印度人不爽起来：印度人怎么了? 躲在洞里去了吗? 为什么是中国公司? 我们就没有公司会修路? 我们口口声声说要推动印度制造，但看到这则新闻后我很震惊，这是不是意味着我们连路都没人去修，还是说修路是件很难的事，我们做不来?
也有的印度人认为这没什么大不了的：有什么大不了的，不是个问题，正好让我们看看中国修的公路和印度的有什么差距，我受够坑坑洼洼的公路，希望能看到一段时速180至220公里的高速公路，又快又安全。

有资料显示，国土面积和中国很接近的印度，其国内高铁公路约为7.17万公里，但若按照时速120公里的国际标准来看，则只有200公里的高速公路才符合要求。反观中国，高速公路已超过13.1万公里。其实别说高速公路了，就连路况良好的普通公路印度都很缺。
在印度目前的交通公路上，货车每天只能行驶250至300公里，而这个数字在发达国家则为700至800公里。为了改变这一现状，印度于去年通过一项计划，将斥资约合7千亿元人民币修建8.3万公里的公路。但对于这个项目印度国内的投资人却并没有多大的兴趣，或许就因为这个，印度才不得不找上中国公司的帮忙。

The deadline set for both the sections is two years from the commencement of work.
PANAJI: A China-based company Quingdao Constructions has been awarded the work of four-laning the 17.4km-stretch from Karaswada to Bambolim (excluding the Mandovi bridge project). The company has entered into a joint venture with a Hyderabad firm for the project.
Another Hyderabad-based company Navyuga Constructions has bagged the contract for four-laning the 25km-stretch from Patradevi to Karaswada. While the Karaswada to Bambolim contract is worth Rs 850 crore, the Patradevi to Karaswada project has been awarded for Rs 630 crore.
The four-laning project, funded by the central government, includes roads of two carriageways of two lane each on either side with a median dividing the two carriageways, footpaths on either sides, and a service lane that gives enough buffer so that vehicles entering the highway do not collide into the traffic on the highway.
Work on the Karaswada to Bambolim stretch has already begun in areas where the land is already in the state's possession. In case of the remaining stretch, the land acquisition process is presently on. "For the Karaswada to Bambolim four-laning, a plant for batch mixing of concrete has already been set up at Colvale," an official said.
The deadline set for both the sections is two years from the commencement of work.
Under the multi-crore project, the national highway is slated to be widened from its current two-lane structure to four lanes. This will allow vehicles to cruise at a speed of 80 to 100 kmph.
The project will also bring in a new bridge at Colvale and multiple elevated corridors at Porvorim, the Green Park junction at Guirim and the Binani junction at Colvale. The widening project will also include vehicular underpasses all along the highway.

When we have very good companies like L&T, why not give them? They have made finest roads in India. In Odisha, we had roads made in 1996 by L&T with guarantee of 20 years and it was rock solid without any issues. Now it''s being made a 4 lane. Shame on BJP govt.

We say make in India - I am shocked & does it mean we do not have the manpower or we need rocket science to just build a road. Please ask L&T to do the works - which they will do better & within the two years that you mentioned. Sorry to say present scenario - I am having a doubt will the people vote again for the BJP - Today you say u cannot eat beef, alcohol - tomorrow you may no rice/wheat etc etc & just keep quiet if u cannot buy onions tomatoes or dal. Chinese roads are really nice and unlike Indian roads are properly checked last many many years . It is a shame that the BJP government has outsourced the contract to Chinese construction companies which PM Modi must now apologize to the nation as this proves that Indian companies are just not up to the mark .and we cannot have "make in India" by Indian companies

Well the Chinese money can buy whatever it wants. The port of Darwin in Australia is owned by Chinese. Just last month Aecon- Canada''s largest construction company which was traded in the New York and Canadian stock exchanges was bought over by a Chinese firm . Aecon was involved in some of the very large Dam projects in India. Hereafter when India wants anything fixed or have warranty work done in those projects they have to go to China. Its nice to see Tata''s and others going over to Britain and US to buy over firms there but how many Chinese companies are owned by Indian companies is the most important question.
