The chancellor of one of University of California systems' famous school was in the interview for the vacant president position of a large state university. In a private dinner with the candidate, the chair of the president search committee asked the chancellor what are his top agenda to make the university grow. Expecting the candidate to have a long talk about his spectacular vision for developing and expanding the teaching and research capacities of the university, the chair was surprised to hear the following short answers from the famous and successful chancellor:
