女儿走了，忙碌的一根弦终于松了下来。昨晚吃完饭，早早上了床，八点不到就睡了。半夜三点多醒来，再也无法入睡。
女儿在家的日子是快乐，也是忙碌的。想着她在家就这么些天，做点好吃的给她，因此不停地买菜、做饭，想着她在家就这么些天，又逢节假日，因此不停地开车兜风，把附近想走能走的地方又走了一遍。所以，这二十多天的日子(12/22-1/13), 因着变化，被感觉拉长成了两个月多似的。
孩子回一趟家也是辛苦的。虽然那座城市离家只有两三个小时的飞机，然而从登机到到家，却要化上整整六个小时--那是戴着双层口罩基本不喝水的六小时，更何况来的时候乘的是早上的飞机，还得半夜起来赶飞机，穿越寒冷的黑夜。回去的飞机虽是下午两点，可等飞机到达出机场，又是那里的夜幕时分。
想起那些要跨越东西部回家的孩子，想起我们自己回国看父母，更是路漫漫。。。
为了想多陪陪她，我周三临时请了一天假，又拉上在上班的某人，临近中午时分开车去了一个小花园，一个十分别致的日本似花园，花园里种着各式各样奇花异草，还有品种繁多的茶花。

中饭后，两人又去逛mall，走过一家家商店，试穿一件件衣服，最后只买了一条短裙。回家时，天已黑，高峰期的高速公路上车辆繁忙。她开着车，上了高速道要merge，缺乏经验的她不知如何"插队"，紧张的我在一边指挥着，那一刻恨不能自己亲自上阵。可路，人生的路，一样最后要让她们自己走出来的。
最后一个周六(1/8/22)去了San Diego, 一个她好几年没去的地方。阳光，沙滩，海浪，海狮，海豚，还有她排了很长队买到的taco, 一起留在了我们2022年开年的记忆里。

If LA is a mecca for J, San Diego is a forgotten city. But it was made it up this time. We stopped by Giesel library in UCSD, for a picture of an iconic building designed by William Pereira, an American architect who also designed Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco. Our destination was of course beaches, for which San Diego is renown for. And it did not let us down. A stroll on Tory Pine beach and another more than one hour time on La Jolla beach relived our old memories. What appealed to J in particular were the seals and sea lions at La Jolla. Contrasted with the quiet seals lying flat on the sand at one side of beach were the noisy sea lions on the other, barking on the rocks fighting each other, as the dusk drew near. J took pictures and videos of them, replaying and sharing the moments with us at home.
