这本书，是我很想买回家收藏起来的。在两个月内我连听带看共三遍。写的非常好。

近六年以来，我看的基本是英文作品。很多写的很好，自己也学了不少东西。这一本，是从法文翻译过来的。作者Muriel Barbery. 法语书名是L'Élégance du hérisson。

一个54岁的高级公寓管理员Renee，一个住在公寓楼里十二岁高智商的小女孩Paloma，是书的主线。Renee博学，读了大量的书，喜欢Tolstoy写的安娜卡列尼娜，有一颗高贵的心，却用尽力气把自己伪装成另一个人，去适应人们眼中管理员的身份。因为，一个公寓管理员怎么可能读马克思的书，哲学，意识学，各种艺术，听古典音乐呢？ 怎么可能读Edmund Husserl， 德国哲学家，的作品呢？可爱的Paloma无意中窥探到Renee的秘密。

还有两个比较重要的人物：一个是60岁左右，富有的日本商人Kakuro Ozu，另一位是Renee几十年的好朋友Manuela， 一个葡萄牙籍公寓一位住户的清洁工。Kakuro以锐利无比的阅历，第一次和Renee见面就敏感的发觉这个管理员有故事。和Paloma的交谈不但让Paloma有了一个真正的朋友，对Renee共同的兴趣也促进了一老一少的感情。

Kakuro请Renee吃饭。两人发现他们有着惊人相似的兴趣和品味。和Kakuro在一起，Renee从来没有觉得那样轻松过，甚至和Manuela在一起都没有过。Renee可以无拘无束的说出她内心真实的感受和看法，Kakuro全都明白。

书里有很多的描写非常美。不是象英语作品的表达方式，是另一种温柔细腻，绕梁三日袅袅回荡的柔美。比如有一段写夏天的雨：
    Do you know what a summer rain is?
    To start with, pure beauty striking the summer sky, awe-filled  respect absconding with your heart, a feeling of insignificance at the very heart of the sublime, so fragile and swollen with the majasty of things, trapped, ravished, amazed by the Bounty of the world.
   And then, you pace up and down a corridor and suddenly enter a room full of light, Another dimension, a certainty just given birth. The body is no longer a prison, your spirit roams the clouds, you possess the power of water, happy days are in store, in this new birth.
   Just as teardrops, when they are large and round and compassionate, can leave a long strand washed clean of discord, the summer rain as it washes away the motionless dust can bring to a person's soul something like endless breathing.

   That is the way a summer rain can take hold in you - like a new heart, beating in time with another's.

还有在最后，Paloma这样写：
    ..... I have finally concluded, maybe that's what life is about: there's a lot of despair, but also the odd moment of beauty, where time is no longer the same. It's as if those strains of music created a sort of interlude in time, something suspended, an elsewhere that had come to us, an always within never.
   Yes, that's it, an always within never.

这是个美丽的世界。虽然有时候很多丑陋的事情发生，让人以为世界是丑陋的，但只要你有心，你会发现，这世界还有很多美丽的事情。象camellia。Renee和Kakuro，Paloma的友谊让Renee克服了一直以来对姐姐被富家子玩弄抛弃致死的悲剧的恐惧。她接受了Kakuro的邀请，和他共同庆祝他的生日。

不幸Renee为救人自己出了车祸，不治而亡。Kakuro和Paloma悲伤不已。Paloma决定不再在十三岁生日时自杀。她会活下去，去寻找生命中美的时刻。她相信Renee会希望她这样做，她也要为Renee去体验那些美。

我很爱这本书。有些感受是我无法用语言描述的。它让我感受到的美和其他的书不同，它触动我灵魂深处冬眠很久的东西，让我久久忘不了Renee。
