Please, Ditch Your Idea of Charging a Fee on Plastic Shopping Bags by Limin Wang Feb 07, 2017
Don't use the name of environment protection. Don't act politically polite on your scheme of just robbing one more layer from New York City residents. There are many alternative ways to cut down the usage of plastic bags, while the customers would still have the convenience in shopping, and have no need to pay 5 cents for a plastic shopping bag. For instance, can the stores provide free paper bags which are supposed to be environmentally friendly? Oh, no, paper bags cost more, and the cost is on the stores. Can the stores provide free sturdy fabric bags which may be washable? Oh, hell no, fabric bags cost more, and the cost is on the stores. If the stores charge 5 cents for a plastic shopping bag on customers, can customers return a plastic bag for 5 cents? Oh, no, why you are so cheap? Wait a second, why you are no so fucking cheap when you charge 5 cents on me for a garbagish bag while you claim me cheap when I want the nickel back by bringing that bag back to you for ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION?
Charging 5 cents on a plastic shopping bag your way is not about our environment protection. Rather, it's for your greed. New York State Legislature needs to stop this damn thing. What's more, NYS Legislature should overturn another damn regulation about electronic garbage in New York City. We can not throw any electronic garbage just as garbage now. We need to pay! When is the time the government would charge a fee for a shit, for a pee, and for a combo? |
