心情日记 - An after-thought (6/27/12)

After sharing my “unpleasant experience” on the forum, I have received overwhelming responses. Many of them offered me moral support, but there were also some comments criticizing my verbal reaction to the incident. It seems that different people choose to react to the situation in different ways, which certainly reflect the values and personalities that individual people may have.

Even with 20/20 hindsight, I still cannot think the best way to handle the situation. It was a spur-of-the-moment reaction, and I really doubt if anybody can react to a similar situation the best way he or she wants to. But I learned a good lesson from this experience. First, I will be more careful and considerate in a crowded place, especially around babies or elders. Second, I will work on improving my oral communication skills. Third, I will keep my emotion in check and stay cool, so I will say right words.

But I know life is full of unanticipated events – good or bad, and you never know what will come next to be fully prepared for it. There is always something. All I can do is to be honest and true to myself, and to do the right things.
