再后来,这个还得感谢二姐,今年年初的时候我读一篇东西,二姐说我的声音象Kathleen Turner,我于是就放狗Kathleen Turner Voice(感谢二姐,This is quite a compliment! Many people consider Kathleen’s voice sexy,哈哈),顺狗摸狗,找到Kathleen Turner的一个访谈,说她年轻的时候为了增加resonance,会在牙齿之间放铅笔橡皮,增大口腔后部空间以提高resonance。Everything made sense at that point.
Try this sometime: Hold the cork gently in one side of your back molars so it runs parallel with your teeth, not perpendicular and say these words: Woo-Woe-War-Wow. All of these words contain big, open vowels sounds, which, given ample room in your mouth, will come out loud and full. The cork exercise has a side benefit of encouraging the speaker to open up the back of the mouth which also allows for more volume.
