• The OSX rose 1.5% yesterday on the heels of strong commodity prices (crude oil and natural gas were +3.5% and +2%).

• Index was able to quickly recover from a bearish natural gas inventory number and is now up 6% this week, +7.5% ytd and +19% from its January low.

• Volumes were mixed with 13 of 32 companies in our coverage universe higher than 50-d averages.

• Next key technical level is 215.69, the OSX's recent closing high on December 14th.
