看了这张照片，我的一个朋友感叹说，众生不易呀！这在我心里引起了强烈的反响，于是就写了这篇博文。 我做了银行犯罪事件的牺牲品！ 不知谁给了我这么宽的心，我总觉得犯罪事件离我很远，银行是我完全可以信任的地方。从来也没有想到有一天，我会成为某一银行犯罪事件中的牺牲品。 事情还得回到2016年。 那年最引人注目的一则新闻就是美国消费者金融保护局（CFPB）指控富国银行（Wells Fargo）“虚开账户”的丑闻。该银行多达2% 的员工（5,300人）为了虚报业绩，在2006到2016期间在客户不知情的情况下，私自开设了200余万个账户，包括存款账户150万个，信用卡56.5万张，导致受害者200多万美元的损失。 记得当时我听到这则新闻感到很震惊，深深地叹了一口气，不禁道，怎么会？！因为富国银行是在巴菲特的旗下，而巴菲特在金融界的信誉是极高的。 事隔一年多，Thu, Apr 12, 2018 at 9:19 AM我接到来自富国银行的E-mail如下 As part of our commitment to make things right, we have entered into a $142 million class action settlement related to the opening of unauthorized accounts.
If you believe Wells Fargo opened a checking, savings, credit card, or line of credit account for you without your permission, or if you purchased identity theft protection from us, you may be entitled to compensation from this fund. If you submit a claim, you may be eligible for reimbursement of fees, compensation for potential impact on your credit, and an additional cash payment based on any money remaining in the fund after benefits and costs are paid out.
