When I heard someone mentioned tape
it seemed that the rolling and curling
was just happening in front of me
in the first a few cars at least
until I had a CD changer installed
merely ten years ago

Even back then, the record was
still rotating in of my friends' house
A stable turntable would be treated
as high end audio component
Some rare records were almost as Godly as anything else

Did I still remember those tubes
in the first radio
back in seventies
The young sound must get old
and much deeper now
as the time gets vacuumed
with only little trace left in the memory
