People who possess technical competence but get stuck at some point along their career paths do so because they:
1. Overlook the importance of people 2. Do not function effectively as part of a team 3. Fail to focus on image and communication 4. Possess limited emotional intelligence and likability 5. Have difficulty working with authority 6. Have too broad or too narrow a vision 7. Exhibit indifference to client or constituent needs 8. Work in isolation |
