回想起来，读外国人的诗，总是难以产生什么共鸣。中国人的原创，大多是一读就琅琅上口，除非诗人成心找别扭不好好写。
为了证明阿拉的观点，随手找出翻译大家查良铮 翻的拜伦的《普洛米休斯》。
查老的译作：
巨人！在你不朽的眼睛看来
人寰所受的苦痛
是种种可悲的实情，
并不该为诸神蔑视、不睬；
但你的悲悯得到什么报酬？
是默默的痛楚，凝聚心头；
是面对着岩石，饿鹰和枷锁，
是骄傲的人才感到的痛苦；
还有他不愿透露的心酸，
那郁积胸中的苦情一段，
它只能在孤寂时吐露，
而就在吐露时，也得提防万一
天上有谁听见，更不能叹息，
除非它没有回音答复。
拜伦同志的原文：
Prometheus I:
Titan! to whom immortal eyes
The sufferings of mortality
Seen in their sad reality,
Were not as things that gods despise;
What was thy pity's recompense ?
A silent suffering, and intense;
The rock, the vulture, and the chain,
All that the proud can feel of pain,
The agony they do not show,
The suffocating sense of woe,
Which speaks but in its loneliness,
And then is jealous lest the sky
Should have a listener, nor will sigh
Until its voice is echoless. 原文其实并不繁复，反而出奇的简洁。而译文却很罗嗦，而且有过多雕饰。从行文特色上并不符合原作的精神。中文的简洁哪里去了？阿拉以为，这是失败的翻译。而很多名作的中译本大多是这样的风格。阿拉还是去读原作算了。
