Note: Esther Milnes, the chief actuary of the Prudential Individual Life Company, retired after 32 years of service with company. Her husband Ralph used to be her co-worker, stayed home and took care of their only son since Esther escalated her career much faster than him. Last year, Ralph was diagnosed with prostate cancer that paved to Esther’s decision to retire at age 55. Jim Avery is her boss, the president of the company. The retirement party took place at the lobby of the Washington Building in Newark. It was loaded with tears and laugh. Again, I played a sidekick role to organize this performance. It was fun! |
