Confusion de Confusiones is an authentic primary historical source. Issued in 1688 by Joseph Penso de la Vega, a Portuguese Jew, and written in Spanish, it is a series of dialogues explaining the operation of the Amsterdam stock exchange of his time.
The Jew emphasize his point and conclude that
人生的座右铭 是宣言书 "... I esteem business but hate gambling ... It is possible that I shall become a holder of shares and shall deal in an honest way, but I am very sure that I shall never become a speculator ..."
