I have come to use my "fear/greed" sensors for a while, and they more or less sync with other scientific measurements such as VIP or Put/Call ratio etc,
the "greed" sense is to look at some of those "trash", or "concept", stocks, this method is probably well known, my concept stocks are those Chinese stocks that have nothing but a name and a plan, like CTDC, SVA, etc
the "fear" sensor is to look at some cash rich companies that are badly run, how much enterprise value left when you take market cap minus the cash... like NINE and LONG, etc
when they are trading 10-15% above cash, you know the market has come to a "show me" point, to price out any dreamy stuff... |
