A complete salvation 13: to be a saint (10): To be one in Jesus Christ <1>

Dear All:

All glories, praises and thanks be to God - the only One worthy to receive glories, praises and thanks.
"Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (PSALMS 115:1)

A complete salvation 13: to be a saint (10): To be one in Jesus Christ <1>

Someone might look at the title and could not accept it quite well:" How about diversity and personalities? Would that be - boring?" Remember who make every leaf different is God. But it is well known and accepted that: the happy families are all alike; the unhappy families have different kinds of unhappiness.

Imagine you have a family member that you must live with him/her for your lifetime. Not for tens of years, but forever and ever! He/She has the following characters: malice, full of hatred and bitterness, arrogance and pride, envy, slander and liar, rudeness and without self-control. What would you say? That is the -- hell. Right. So now to go to Heaven and have an eternal life, how can you let Holy God and others live with you forever? We are all imperfect. But nothing is too hard for God and the solution He grant us is through - Jesus Christ - His beloved Son. His Spirit will renew us and Jesus Christ has set an example for us. That's the answer for us and not that difficult as long as we have a desire heart.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (GALATIANS 5:22)
"Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers." (HEBREWS 2:11)

Our goal to be a saint is to be like Jesus Christ. With the help of the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ, we crucify and take off the old self, clothe ourselves with Jesus Christ: have the same mind and attitude of Jesus Christ; the same Spirit of Jesus Christ; the same mission of Jesus Christ. If we want to guarantee ourselves to go to Heaven, we should follow the only way, truth and life of Jesus Christ who for sure pleases God.
"Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God - through Jesus Christ our Lord!" (ROMANS 7:24-25)

The supremacy of Jesus Christ:
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: ... all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross." (COLOSSIANS 1:15-20)

To be one in Christ and in harmony with Holy God is the eternal life:
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope when you were called - one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (EPHESIANS 4:2-6)
"I (Jesus Christ) pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one. I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." (JOHN 17:20-23)
"And we are in him who is true - even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." (1 JOHN 5:20)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (ROMANS 6:22-23)
"To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life." (ROMANS 2:7)
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, ... And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment - to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ." (EPHESIANS 1:3-10)
"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit." (EPHESIANS 2:19-22)

(1) One baptism and one faith:

"We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." (ROMANS 6:2-4)
"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (GALATIANS 3:26-28)
"If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection." (ROMANS 6:5)
"... since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all." (COLOSSIANS 3:9-11)
"How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance - now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant." (HEBREWS 9:14-15)
"Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf." (1 CORINTHIANS 10:16-17)
"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. " (EPHESIANS 2:14-18)
"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 JOHN 5:11-12)

Warning against keeping on sinning:
"It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace." (HEBREWS 6:4-6)
"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sin is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." (HEBREWS 10:26-27)

To be continued ...

All glories, praises and thanks to God.
God bless us to be one in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus
