My husband is a very intellectual person. He has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and reads and reads. He thinks too. His concerns are lofty which always involve history, politics, culture and sometimes literature. But he lives in an isolated place where people don't care much about intellectual staff. Although most of his friends have a PH.D., when they get together they talk about children, sports, and other people. I can picture my lonely husband in the middle of gossiping people like an whale stuck on the sand beach.
I feel the same helpless desolation. |
