2013 Annual Check-up and Olivia's Dating Plan

Yesterday Olivia and Evan had their annual check up after they turned 13 and 10 respectively not long ago. This was also the first time that they saw different doctors since Olivia is becoming a big girl now.

Here is the stat. We will not disclose Olivia's weight since it becomes a sensitive topic now she is growing up :).

Evan: Height: 59" - 90%; Weight 82 lbs - 75%. I have always worried that he is too skinny but I guess he is just tall for his age.

Olivia: Height: 5'7-1/2". She is now officially 1/4" taller than me. I wonder how many more years I still have before I finally become the shortest one in the family which is always ironic when I think about it. Fogot to check the percentile but she is probably off the chart for her age. The doctor estimated that she still had three more inches to grow. Wow, that is tall for a girl! :).

On the way back home, Olivia said she would take her boyfriend with her to visit Granna this summer if she found one but that idea was I immediately shut down by me. Being as mature as Olivia, I know she is going to have a boyfriend much earlier than I want, but I feel like I need to lay down the rule. I told her even though she claimed that a lot of her friends already had boyfriends, in our family being a 13 year old is too early to have a boyfriend let alone take him to visit Granna. I joked that she should follow daddy's 25 year old rule, haha... I can have my wishful thinking but if it does happen, we will deal with it as reasonable parents.

Anyway, although Olivia's becoming a vegetarian last fall has been giving me more challenges or i should say headaches about what to prepare for the meal so she is not lacking the nutrients she needs while she is growing, both kids are healthy, happy and doing well at school so I am a happy mom :).
