Glad to be Home

Evan has been at Granna's house for nearly a month while I was in China until we picked him up at the Thanksgiving. That was the first time Evan really got to be the "only child" and I think he really enjoyed being the center of attention for once.

Last week while we were in the car taking Olivia to Karate, we started talking about him being at Granna's and all the fun he had and new toys he got to play. I remembered thinking to myself that we probably should stop talking about it as he might just get upset if he wanted to go back and he couldn't.

However, after the discussion, out of the blue Evan exclaimed "I am SO glad to be back home!"

He was so cute when he said that as normally he doesn't make statement like that. Plus I thought he had been having a little rough time adjusting back to his routine life here.

"Why do you say that Evan?"  I was curious because I knew how much he enjoyed Granna's.

"I like being with Mommy and Daddy and Sissy (he calls Olivia Sissy sometimes) ....and my toys" he replied.

Wow, sweet boy! Mommy is very glad to have you back home too!
