Quinn - Widow's Walk - 寡妇的漫步

(2018-03-16 11:06:41) 下一个

这首 Widow's Walk 非常好听,收集在Quinn的另一张专辑 Chasing Silence 追逐沉默 之歌首,他是这样描述他的这张专辑的:

The world outside your window is no longer a spiteful, polluted quagmire when this CD is playing.
“Soothing chants float over a string-lined shuffle beat that caresses the brain while simultaneously crawling the spine.

当你播放这张CD时,窗外的世界不再是一个恶毒,污染的泥潭。舒缓的圣歌跳动着节拍飘浮在一根细绳上,似乎是在轻抚脑海,同时缓慢地游过肢体。

That morning we walked to the waters edge
Where his jealous lover was calling
With our embrace, he left my side
From the deck I saw him waving
Just then his kiss began to fade
As the ocean drew him in
A final prayer to catch the wind
With worry, I waited again
That staggering night, the tress grew barren
The sea as white as snow
The stygian sky and briny mist
A peril I did not know
Out upon the widow’s walk
I strained to pierce the night
Afraid a tear would flood the sea
I remained the seaman’s wife
In the blackness I paced a troubled course
Til the light revealed the sea
In the calm of the shore, a sailor spoke
A story of tragedy
‘Blown off course in a calashee watch
The ravenous sea was craving
Helena’s blaze secured the fate
Of what that night would bring’
The sailor was clutching a captains coat
That cried upon the sand
It carried ashore my golden locket
It trembled in my hands
Out upon the widow’s walk
I strained to pierce the night
Afraid a tear would flood the sea
I remained the seaman’s wife?.
