XXII   The heart asks pleasure first And then, excuse from pain And then, those little anodynes That deaden suffering;     And then,to go sleep; And then, if it should be The will of its inquisitor, The liberty to die

（我的）心 （总是） 问候 欢乐在先 然后，向痛苦致歉 （因为）那些小小的药片 （让人）处在半梦半醒之间   然后 （我沉沉地）睡眠 如果这是检察官的 意愿 （那就是）自由对死亡（的宣判）
