有感于参加国标大赛

上周参加芝加哥的国标大赛，  Chicago Harvest Moon Ball DanceSport Championships，

 

国标舞，分 Ballroom and Latin. 我个人认为比赛中的 Ballroom Dance 应该翻为 “宫廷舞”， 而不再是交谊舞。

宫廷舞和拉丁分“国标式”与“美式”： “国标”International Standard，与美式最大的区别在于双方手臂不能分离, 脚不能离地。 美式是自由式， 因为手臂可分离， 脚可离地，因而飞天走地， 手舞足蹈的大幅度动作更为花俏。

天边的蔷薇 2017-10-23 06:55:22 回复 悄悄话 Beautiful updo of the hair and make-up. Did you do it yourself or is it a clip-on on the top? I watched your dance video. Good job! I love ballroom dancing, but never been to any competition.
