This amazing trip is full of fun, joy and of course stunning views. It seems impossible to finish such long distance drive and so many activities within just 8 days. The tip is the roads’ conditions are too good to remain limited speed. Go and enjoy it.

Driving route: Vancouver-Missoula-Yellowstone- Craters of the Moon- John Day Fossil Beds- the city of Florence (4 wheels’ motorcycle-ATV)- Sea Lions Cave- Woodbum outlet stores-Vancouver

Here are the schedule and road directions:

Day 1

            Get up 4:30am, load package. Set out 5:20am. Cross the border through Pacific X Gate (save time a lot). Drive along Highway No.5. Get off No.5 at Exit 182 to take Highway No. 405 (to avoid the heavy traffic in the centre of city Seattle). Drive shortly along No.405 and follow the sign to find the Exit to Highway No.90. After this, all the way drive along No.90. Lunch in Moses Lake. At 6:30pm arrived Missoula (Montana).

Day 2  Get up 7:30am. Set out 8:30am. Get back to Highway No.90, and go to east continuously. At lunch time arrive Livingston, a small city. After short rest, turn to Highway No.89 southward. About 2:00pm finally reach the North entrance of the Yellowstone National Park. After driving about 2 hours in the park, we found the camp ground, set up tents and enjoy the BBQ.

Day 3

            Travel inside the Yellowstone., Amazing, unforgettable views and animals.

Day 4

            Travel inside the Yellowstone., Beautiful, picturesque sceneries and animals.

Day 5

            Get up 6:30am. Pack all the camping equipments. At 9:00am leave the camping ground. At 10:00am get to west entrance of the Yellowstone Park. Then take Highway No.20 (drive west towards). In the city of Arco, change to Highway No.93 (south west towards). At 1:30pm get to “Craters of the Moon” which is another main view point in our trip plan. The scenery here is like the end of the world. At 3:00pm leave there and drive along No.93 to west. When reach city of Shoshone, No.93 ended, and the number change to No.26 and No.84. Just drive along No.84 to city of Boise. Sleep in the city of Boise.

Day 6

            Get up 7:30am. Back to Highway No.84, drive about 30 min, arrive city of Ontario, on east boundary of Oregon State. Go to the Info centre in rest area and ask for a detailed map which shows you how to get to Highway No.26. Otherwise you will get lost. Along the highway No.26, drive west towards. At lunch time arrive Sheep Rock of “John Day Fossil Beds” which is another main destination of our trip plan. After visiting the Museum, take the suggestion from one of their employees, and drive continuously to Painted Hills of John Day Fossil Beds to see a breathtaking scenic view. At 3:00pm, leave Painted Hills.

Back to No.26, drive west to the city of Pineville. Cross the city and turn to Highway No.126. Continuously drive to west. At 7:00pm, get to the city of Eugene.

Day 7

            Get up 7:30am. Back to No.126, drive west to the city of Florence. Then turn to No.101, drive to south 4 about miles. There is a very exciting outdoor activity there: the 4 wheels’ motorcycle-ATV. Driving ATV in the sand dune area, you can experience an unexpected feeling. At 12:00am, drive back north to sea lion cave about 11 miles north of the city Florence. Follow the sign to find the “Sea Lions Cave”. There are countless sea lions there. At 2:00pm, leave the cave. Take No.101 and go to the north. Follow the sign to turn to highway No.18. Drive west along No.18 then turn to No.22, after a while turn to No.5. At 6:00pm, arrive the city of Woodbum.

Day 8

            All day crazy shopping in Woodbum outlet stores. The price is incredibly low. At 5:30pm, leave Woodbum and back home at 11:30pm.
