奥巴马的亚洲行（越南，八强峰会），最主要的目的无疑是处处给中国叫阵，可以说叫到门口了，实在难以想象美国还想要什么。

 

周末人民币再次震荡：

 

有人暗喻这是中国给美国的一个提示，别嚷得太凶了。

 

对此，美国人的回应是：

中国计即将立南海防空识别区Beijing ready to impose air defence identification zone in South China Sea pending US moves
这是南华早报刚刚发的消息，来自解放军内线。然而中国可以以此为筹码，在综合全局衡量得失后在此问题上做出“延迟”的让步，不放弃，但可以接受暂不实行。

 

 

耶鲁大学法学院“司徒”（Potter Stewart）宪法学教授，蔡崇信中国研究中心主任（Director, the Paul Tsai China Center）葛巍子（Paul Gewirtz）在布鲁金斯学会撰文：

Limits of law in the South China Sea

此文针对国际法庭（联合国常设仲裁法院）即将就菲律宾的申诉做出判决而作，给申诉的依据是联合国海洋法公约。中国已明言不会理会，而美国则敦促中国接受此一判决。讽刺的是，美国并没有正式接纳联合国海洋法公约。

葛巍子将南海冲突实质明写为“中美南海争霸之争”（The great geopolitical question of our age, whether the United States as the established dominant superpower can co-exist with a re-emerging powerful China, sits on the sea’s horizon like a huge and taunting Cheshire Cat[柴郡猫]）。
