枫叶国庆节：“只要一点时间”

今天，七月一日，在渥太华国会山庄，加拿大147年国庆庆祝大会上，Terry Kelly 重演了一首令人动容，和沉思的歌曲：“A Pittance of Time”——“给他们一点时间”。

此歌写作历史：

1999年11月11日－－是第一次世界大战停战81年纪念日。 Terry Kelly 特利克里在Nova Scotia一家Drug 店里购物。 10点55分时，商店广播：希望所有顾客在11点整，向那些为了今日和平生活，而曾经浴血奋战的退伍军人们致敬2分钟。 11点正，商店再次播告。然而，有一位带着孩子的父亲，在那沉默哀静的两分钟内，仍然继续挑选他的商品。 Kelly为这位不能为孩子做出榜样的父亲，感到愤怒。他感叹战争结束了，人们对和平生活已经习以为常，但是，忘却了对那些保卫国家利益的战士感恩，连短短两分钟敬礼时间都不愿付出。
